Fast Idle Switch
Well my 320A alternator doesn't put out enough at idle, and holding the gas pedal down all the time while giving out demos gets to be a bore. So searching around, I found something that might be of interest!
On the YotaTech forums, they do this "ECT Mod" for slightly more power. ECT is Engine Coolant Temperature. The ECT sensor is basically a resistor that drops in resistance as temperature increases. By adding a potentiometer, the computer is tricked into thinking the engine temperature is lower than it really is, thus increasing the engine RPMs (like when your cold start your car). Hmmmm... RadioShack has potentiometers...
Also, my buddy running 16volts has a potentiometer... Hmmmm... |
Hmm. If I knew which was the ECT wire going into the ECU I might be tempted to give it a shot...
