Help finding the firewall
Okay...I've looked for the last half hour....I have a horn that I want to install with a different switch....I cannot for the love of God find out where the fire wall is located!!! Anyone know where to direct me on this one? The XB1 firewall was a breeze to locate but I cannot see where the wiring goes in or out on the XB2!

standing in front of your hood, look in between the engine and the driver's compartment. that should be your firewall.
couldn't resist. there has to be a grommet somewhere for wiring to pass thru the firewall. find the beefiest wire bundle under the hood and trace it around. I highly suspect that if you trace the wires from either fusebox, you will find a grommet.

Jeez...alright already....I know where the heck the firewall is guys....I'm trying to find out where I can put the wiring through....the new XB is not like the old one at all...its put together like a Honda where everything is in place so tight and so precise its much harder to take apart then the old XB. I see where the wiring comes in but there is just no wiggle room at all...just wondered if anyone has added anything to the XB2 through the firewall yet.

it's going to be tight as it needs to be waterproof. there are several threads on here regarding how to pass a wire thru the grommet. Please let me know if you need help finding them, and I will direct you.
I don't think they are xb2-specific, but the concept is the same.

YES!!! I get to use my super powers of problem solving!
Ok here is what you do.....
1. Get a decent size straw, like those thick red straws you sometimes get with your drinks
2. Now get a screwdriver that will fit into the straw.
3. Cut the straw so it is short enough to fit on the screw driver without hanging over.
4. K now with the straw on the screw diver, carefully push it through the main grommet under the steering wheel.
5. When your through the grommet, pull out the screw diver. If you did everything correctly the straw should stay put.
Now you have a easy axcess hole where you can slip wires through the straw to the other side.
I did this to run the power for my leds and it worked perfectly.

When I was running the 10ga power wire to my amp (150w RMS), I tried the straw trick (it is not new or original) but the wire was too big. What I did was:
Slit the little boot on the inside that leads into the grommet
Get a long screwdriver and tape the end of the wire to the end of the driver (securely, I used electrical tape, be sure to completely cover the tip of the screwdriver and the end of the wire)
Spray the whole thing with a bit of white lithium grease
Push it through the grommet
Cut off the tape on the other side and pull the wire through
