Front seats lay down?

Nube owner question...

Is it possible to do this with the seats in an xB?

I found this reference:
http://www.metcoelectronics.com/scion/good.htm

With headrests removed, the front seat backs can fully recline. I believe I read that someone had actually slept in their xB. The reclining passenger seat extends the available cargo space and allows longer items to be carried. There's about 7.3 feet available horizontally between dashboard and rear hatch

Ahh, remove the headrest. Anyone tried with a 2nd-gen ;)

don't know about 2nd gen but in first you remove front and rear headrests, move front seats all the way forward and it will create a semi flat area front to back

I've tried this before. You need to remove the headrests on all seats.

So it _does_ work on a 2nd-gen?

RiCe3aTeR 10-13-2007 09:22 PM

Yes. I think you have to fold down the front seats first so it would fit and make the seats flush.

ok... I'll ask........ how do you remove the head rests in the 08's??.. jh

cool
i didn't think about doing that to the front seats.
ive slept in mine on a long road trip, but i just leaned the frunt seats forward and bushed them as close to the dash as i could. it was ok for a few hour nap but i wouldn't want to do it for a weekend of camping or anything

Front seats lay down.

Yea, that was one of the neat things my wife liked about the Toaster. Jon Lancaster (our salesman) took off the headrest on the passenger seat and shoved it forward, then reclined it back. This made it so she could sit in the back and stretch out her legs like in a recliner. Funny thing is that she doesn't like to drive it because its Yellow. Breaks my heart. :silly: But my 17 year old son does. :nails:

insaneintenti0n 10-18-2007 03:26 PM

lol. didn't know the xB1 did this, it was pretty heavily advertised on the tC, and yea, i tried it on the xB2. kinda neat.
