Hi, at what point on the gas gauge dial does the low fuel light actually come on and if anyone knows for sure (E mark or before), how much gas is approx left in the tank when this happens on a 2010 XB. Thanx

There's about 3 gallons of fuel left in my 2010 xb when the light comes on. In other words, within minutes (less than 1 mile of driving) of the light coming on, I need to put in 11.0XX gallons of fuel in the car to fill it up. I've never noticed how close the gauge is to the E mark before the light comes on.

ive gone for a while when its below the line even. maybe close to 5 miles

Ive driven my xB down to nearly empty. the "miles left" gauge was saying 0mi, and i drove about 5mi on that.

those gauges lie. i never get my estimated range. i usually try to not let it get under an eighth just in case.

I've taken it 25 miles past "Range" hitting 0 on the trip computer, and it took just under 13 gallons to fill it up.

I don't recommend this, I just happened to be on a trip and gas stations were further apart than I thought.

I've also had a similar experience, put just about 25mi on the car after hitting "0" on the "Range" setting. Also was about 12.8-12.9 gallons to fill. I would also not recommend it. I was somewhere where gas stations were plentiful, I just wasn't paying attention and crossed the Causeway bridge (24 miles long) on 0. Oops.

The gas light comes up when the onboard trip computer's "Range" mode displays 20 mi, there is approximately three gallons of fuel left in the fuel tank.

I drove like 50 miles after low fuel light turned on..
I think you are almost empty when the needle reaches middle of the E letter
