How much these sub-woofers will cost to install?

First off Im a layman when it comes to cars. Im not mechanically inclined in the slightest.

I have a buddy's brother offering me a pair of sub woofers for $150 cause he can't figure out how to install them in HIS car. Now I know there's a lot to this question,
and not knowing the model/manufacturer of said sub woofers yet, it might well not be able to be answered directly, I'm just looking for advice at the moment.

What would I need to get to be able to install sub woofers into a completely stock 2014 Scion xB?

Where would I go to get them installed? As Id be buying them from a private seller rather than a box store so its not like I can just opt to have them installed.

I had a friend put a good stereo into a crap car when I was younger, and he had to buy an amp and a bunch of other things before he could install the stuff he wanted,
so I'm just trying to figure out how much these $150 sub woofers will cost to install after I think about getting them.

You'll need an amp wiring kit, a mono channel amp, and possibly a line out converter (LOC) depending on what type of frequencies your amp is capable of receiving. Price will be dependent on the components you buy and if you pay someone to wire it for you. It will be best to know what subs you are running and how they are wired before choosing an amp though to make sure it properly powers the setup. If you're in Phoenix I can help out, else try to find some local guys with stereo experience so you get a clean install and a properly powered system. Can also hit up an online vendor such as Crutchfield or SonicElectronix and ask them for some help for your specific vehicle/speaker setup and they can guide you or recommend local installer.
