Patience, patience, and a good pair of gloves.

You are going to have to completely disassemble your seats, be careful of the plastic trim pieces on the seat bases as there are a couple hidden screws. The patience is because it'll take a long time, the gloves are because your hands are going to get tired from pulling all the hog rings and then putting them back in. If you have access to a pair of hog ring pliers USE THEM. It can be done without them but it is more work. I did without as I didn't have any so I ended up using pliers to do it.

as far as pulling apart the seats, did you run into any specific problems?

Nope, just look for every screw you can find and then when they still won't come apart completely look for some more.

You'll be good, that's the only specialty tool needed to do the job. A metric socket set and phillips screwdriver tip on a drill cover everything else.
