So I found a Toyota remanufactured parts catalog online, and was able to sort through everything and figure out which OEM alternator had the highest output.

It turns out some Matrix models had a 130-amp alternator, which is still better than our factory 100-amp. Doubt I'd change it out until it needed it, but definitely something to remember if you ever need to replace the alternator.

EDIT: The catalog has some bad information in it. The 2AZFE wasn't available in the Matrix until 2009, so the production dates for the 130-amp alternator don't match up. Oh well.

DC Power makes a 270 and a 390 in the XP line.

I own the 270 and for what i use it for, the XP line is the only consumer based alternator of it's kind.

6 Phase, Dual rectifier and Temp sensing module to prevent thermal failure.

The 390XP is just over $1,000 but I chose not to get it because i pull over 2,000A of current and an extra 120A of alt isn't going to help anything in that application.

Typical average draw is only about 500A\2,400A peak so extra batts is always a must in my application.
