Default Power port help

Whats up fellow box lovers? so i am starting to do some mods to my box. i want to put leds in the interior of my car but i dont want to run wires all the way to my battery, i feel like i can just wire them to the back of the power outlet under the shifter in the front. does any one have experience with doing that and can show me pictures or anything on how to do it properly. i want my car legit as possible, thank you!

DaWiz711 is correct a add a fuse will be the best thing to use and yes they have the correct size for the scion fuses. there are many ground spots all over the car just need to get under the dash or remove your side panels and you will see grounding points.

If you're going to be drawing power off of the power outlet, I'd highly recommend adding a relay. It's the proper way of going about things.

Used my power port to light my orange LED's . Under the dash , two under the back seat and two in the small storage bin holes in the back . Pretty low voltage & amps . Haven't had a problem with them . My volt gauge never changes when plugged in . Easy afternoon project .
