Default Seat Heater + Clazzio

I'm about to install seat heaters in my RS9.0 and was wondering if I should put the heating pads under the stock fabric or on top of it. I won't be going back to stock fabric seats ever.

Gonna guess on this one and say under the leather. If you place it under the stock fabric the heat will need to go through two layers which means you'll feel little heat. Also it will be easier to peel back that leather than the stock fabric.

That's how I'm leaning. I'd hate to go to all the work of installing them and not be able to feel it. I'm guessing since it doesn't burn the seat foam, it won't burn the cloth. Now I just hope the switch will fit where i want it.

In for pics as well - we have sold many seat heaters for other vehicles but have not seen pics installed in an xB2.

Ok, so I know I said I'd do a photo how-to, but it was like -100C. So I mounted the switch where the security sensor was, next to the shifter. Extended the wires and moved the security sensor where the dash light switch was, and moved it down to a blank slot. I connected the power directly to the battery through the grommit on the right side of the firewall. Ground is behind the passenger kick panel and the switched power is connected to a blue wire near the ground.

Curious where you got the seat heaters & switch from - the switch almost looks factory.

Nice job and thanks for sharing!
