xB come with any Security Alarm? Suggestions?
 

I noticed my xB does nothing if the doors are locked, the dashboard red padlock blinky is going, and I open a door.

Does an xB come with any Security Alarm? - just the basic "sound the horn" if a door is opened ? :confused:

I see a factory option PT398-52081 Scion TVIP Security which is a kit with mega wiring harness, Glass Break ECU module etc. which hints at "nope, no entrance alarm unless you pay extra" :shock:

The only mods I have done which might mess it up are LED interior lights and Kenwood Nav Unit install. The factory Pioneer radio did not have wires for the horn or door switches, so I doubt it was the alarm.

Let me know guys, I'm a bit confused.

Nope, no factory alarm on the xB, just keyless entry. If you want an alarm I recommend anything by DEI; Viper, Clifford, Sidewinder, Python, etc...

Thanks, I'll have to put something in like a DEI if I can integrate it with the stock remote.
I need a wiring diagram for my '13 xB. I have collected bits and pieces, even paid and went on Scion tech website but it's missing stuff i.e stereo connections.
With that it should be easy to install :wink:
