Hello everyone! Long time lurker, new poster lol. I’ve had my 09 XB for about 5 years now, a little over 200k miles now. This problem started about 6 months ago, it’s an automatic transmission but it started shifting funny and jerking while driving, then soon enough it started stalling (but would start right back up & repeat the cycle) read codes & got P0717 and P0793. I replaced the speed sensor myself, took out the air filter and it was pretty straight forward after getting a rusty bolt out. Problem still persisted after replacement, I ordered the crankshaft position speed sensor but my dad hasn’t had time to jack it up at his garage so we can pull the tire off to replace. However, after reading the little bit of info on this forum about these codes, I found that there are two speed sensors which are actually pretty close to each other so now I’m wondering if I ended up replacing the wrong one or if I should just go ahead and replace the crankshaft first and go from there lol…
I’m not really a car girly, but I’m trying with tutorials and whatnot, 🤣 plus my dad knows a decent amount about cars so he helps when he can. Just looking for any insight, or suggestions. Thanks!
