tC1 Trans into an xB2?
I have an 09 auto xB and I found a 06 tC at a junk yard. I’ve been scouring the forums for a thread on an tC swap. Is it possible to swap the tC manual trans into a 09 auto xB?
If so I know you need a new harness and ECU, but do you need new hubs to fit the tC axles or what parts would I need besides fluid and slave/master etc. any info would be great.
Thank you!
Scott

Hey Scott
Sounds like an interesting project. I personally have no idea, but I like your idea. My xB is an auto & strickly my DD.
Maybe Greg will chime-in w/his opinion

You've actually got it pretty down. Definitely new ECU/harness, and slave/master cylinder assembly plus pedals and the clutch switch and yes, new axles. Probably some other stuff as well but those will be the major parts.
I would consider a different transmission though. Since there were changes in the engine between 06 and 07 it'll be hard to get an ECU that can mate your 09 up to an 06 trans without issues. Also remember that the tC has a lower 5th gear ratio so the engine will rev higher at HWY speeds, using more gas. I would try to find an 08-10 xB transmission if you really want to swap to manual.
As always the cheapest way to swap to a manual is to buy one and sell or trade your automatic for it.
