Default 2012 Scion xB aftermarket stereo problems

I have a 2012 xB and am in the planing stage of replacing the factory head unit with an aftermarket single DIN unit. Unfortunately I cannot find a dash kit or wire harness to buy from retailers. Any ideas??? I am a custom cabinetmaker and can cut an appropriate piece of plastic for the dash but really don't want to cut the factory wiring harness off. Does anyone know if any other year has the same wiring harness?

You would think I guess but there is a part# for 2008-2010. Seems weird that I cant find a part on eBay or any stereo part place for the 2011-2012. Crazy that the 2013 is pretty much here ant they have no part for the 2011 even.

The Crutchfield kit: it's not perfect, but it gets the job done neatly. No aftermarket dash kit will do the job perfectly, but then again, no aftermarket HU looks stock!

The wiring is the same. I actually have a stock radio from an 08 in my 11 for the time being. My DVD player went out and I still haven't got a new one.

You should really look into getting a Double Din unit as they start around 200 bucks...Kenwood makes a DDX219 or DDX319 that start in the high 200s but are well worth the money. Good luck on your new head unit!@!

Best 300 bucks spent!! KENWOOD DDX319!!!

Has B/T, DVD, USB, 3-(4v)RCA preouts(Amazing sound with amps)....by the way I think the dash calls for a DD unit as the factory come with one.

Sell the factory stereo for 100-150 bucks and upgrade!!!

Okay fine!!!!! I'm not going single din anymore. I'll sell the one I have and for sure going for the Kenwood DDX419. I'm convinced after checking the reviews. Plus it looks so wicked.
