Default My RS 6.0 # 344 w/Pics

I've had it for about a month, haven't done anything major yet. Just some small things

HIDs, LEDs, shift ****, painted wheelcovers, etc

I hated the look of the header cover so I painted it black (I think red would be too much), I wish the stock headers looked a little nicer.

Black wheels and TRD springs are next on the list.

yeah, that's why the thread says RS 6.0 in the title. it comes with special wheel covers, not rims.

What paint did you use to paint the header cover? I think you are right and painting it red would have been too much! I like it!

Its a high temp engine bay spray paint. You can get it at the local auto parts store.

Maybe on the tC's but I don't think the RS xB's ever get that lucky, at least on the gen 2.

I used normal paint like gross red for the engine cover, is that ok?

Are you talking about the engine cover or the header cover? We are talking about the Header Heat Shield, which gets very hot! Normal paint should be fine for the engine cover.

Yes, it's engine cover which others like to replace with CF cover. Thanks!

any reason you want to go with the TRD springs instead of something else? I got the NF210s which are very modest, and the TRDs don't lower even as much as mine do.

Well, I'm not dead set on the TRD's. Just don't want to go too low, but judging from that little pic you have yours looks pretty clean. Can you post a bigger one.

lol @ "special hubcaps".

it's actually better that they don't come with wheels:
1.2499 or 1999 other people don't have the same exact looking car
and
2. i could throw those in my garage and not ever want to go back to them or worry about snow (if i ever live where it snows) messing them up

i like the black painted caps better than the stocks. should have done them stock like that from the factory, imo.
i could have appreciated a spoiler or lip kit though. aside from the color and "special hubcaps" what else was added to the RS6

Its mostly the interior where the extras were added.
Color-matched seat fabric, Pioneer Nav system, LED interior lighting, RS 6.0 lighted door sill, black grill... i think thats it. Not as many add-ons as the RS 5.0, but then again it was cheaper.

You're right, the spoiler thrown in or a lip kit would have been nice!
