Please take before and after pictures like rockthebeef did on page 3 of this thread. It's more important to see how much the bulb lights up the area AWAY from the car, than looking directly at the rear bumper. I'm holding high hopes.
When do they anticipate arrival, since it comes from Japan?

I know its already been gone over, but I didn't see any specific mention of any LED bulbs over 100 lumens. I was checking out my favorite LED site, and noticed these:

They run $30 each, have a 220 degree bulb angle and run at 132 lumens. Think they are worth me giving them a shot, or probably just the same results that we have seen before?

Waste of money for the xB reverse light bulb. First of all, it's not even the right bulb; secondly, the stock 7440 is supposedly over 400 lumens so you can see how pathetic the light output is on LED's.
Bright to look directly at - definitely, throw off much light - absolutely not!

I just cross checked the 27w 7440 and found this Raybrig bulb it appeas to be the same on on the Sigma site but for $10. I'll order one and see if there is any improvement. Site says twice as bright. Raybrig R132 Platinum White Light Bulb (Bulb Type 7440) http://www.racinglab.com/rayrevligbul2.html
Basically it's the same as the PIAA Xtreme White bulb that I have already tried ($12.99 for 2 from Amazon.com). The extra lumens provided by 27W instead of 21W are cancelled out by the blue tint on the bulb to give it the "xtreme white" color. When you look directly at the reverse light, the light looks like a brighter white, but it lights up less around the rear of the car when you are backing up.
BTW, the Amazon reviews said these bulbs were twice as bright as stock also.

Doggit! Will have to try to ebay that bulb! The pic sure does look blue- wtf? Will keep searching. Got the NF210s sittin' in a box and sub-freezing temps. One of the STLScion club members will help install them in the near future. Bump for all clubs.
Should get the TRD CAI today or tomorrow. May get it installed at a meet in STL on Saturday (fingers crossed!)
