Does anyone know the part numbers for the hood bumper 2008/2015
Both my 2008 and 2015 have the problem where you pull the hood release, but the hood does not release. You can go pull it up and go back and forth a couple of times and it will eventually release. I think the bumpers have had the hood closed on them enough to where maybe they don't have the tension to push the hood up when you pull the release. Does anyone know what part numbers for these bumpers are? How many are there?
Is the hood loose when it is fully closed?
If tight, try putting some wax paper on top of the rubber bumpers. (Eliminate the chance of the bumpers sticking to the hood)
Just went out and looked at my '09 and noted the following...
The hood is slightly loose when closed. I can push at the latch location and it moves up and down a little on the spring.
After pulling the release, I can hear it release fully, but the hood doesn't pop up... I have to lift it a little.
The hood bumpers do not seem to be adjustable... I think they were on our Corolla.
Where the bumpers touch the hood, there are clear plastic discs stuck to the contact points.

Thanks Rich; I forgot I posted this. I went out and adjusted both of my XB's (2008 / 2015). Each have 4 bumpers and all 4 are adjustable on both cars. I rotated them about a turn counterclockwise and it fixed the issue. Both hoods to popup a bit.
