Floor and cargo mat sources?
Other than the factory mats, has anybody seen mats available anywhere?

Wally world for me - seriously.
|
ebay has scion mats for cheaper than the dealer.
|
be careful about junk on ebay. i'd say go to www.trdparks.com or www.mcgeorgeparts.com.
they sell for much better prices than dealerships and have great reputation for reliability and fast shipping. |
For about $78 you can get the set on Ebay from Toyotamall1 which is Sullivan Brothers Toyota. I have purchased from them before with good results.

thats what i was talking about when i said look on eBay. |
Yep--not everything is junk on eBay. I got my intake and strut bar through those guys and even used my $50 giftcard on TYC tails.

As others have said, if you're looking for the actual Scion floor mats for less than the dealer price eBay is the place to look. Just be careful about who you buy from.
However, I've found some amazing deals on high quality/duarable "universal" floor mats from stores like Amazon.com, PepBoys, Target and even Wal-Mart (Wally world). They might not match the look of vehicles the way that custom mats do, but I've actually had some "universal" floor mats hold up better than custom mats. I had to replace the Toyota floor mats in my wife's 2000 Camry after 3 years and I bought a set of $15 floor mats on Amazon that are still holding up almost 4 years later and look almost as good as the day I bought them. |
Are there any factory all season / rubber mats?
|
Wal Mart has those.
They are the kind you cut to fit. |
I picked up some carpeted ones at wal-mart the other day. $20. The only problem is that they seem to impede the gas pedal.

If the driver's side mat moves around you can go to press the gas or the break pedal and find out there is a bent section of floor mat in the way stopping the pedal from going down. That happened with a $40 set of floor mats that I bought for a VW Golf a few years back and I almost rear-ended someone at a stoplight. After that I bought a $5 set of mat "clips" from PepBoys that held the mats in place. But not all cheap/univeral mats have that problem. The $15 set of floor mats I bought from Amazon for my wife's car grip the floor very well and stay in place. |

Kevin They sell most of the official Toyota parts way cheaper than the local dealer does. I ordered a set from them and they shipped immediately and took AMEX (good protection, just in case.) They came in the Scion box, along with installation instructions (for the driver's floor hook-up.) |

It seems most regulars here have had good luck with them and Ken from Sparks posts here. |
yeah I was looking for mats last night, trdsparks is a much better bet than the e-bay seller, mainly beacuse of postage costs.
|
Just ordered mine from Sparks. When you compared shipping, they were much better than the E-Bay link.
I will post here when they arrive, so we can track how fast they ship. |

I will post here when they arrive, so we can track how fast they ship. I have heard a lot of good things around here about Sparks and in particular Ken. So far they are making a believer out of me. Good prices and excellent communication so far. |
