I have 108K on my 2014 XB. I paid $7700.00 the exterior is pretty nice but interior need lots of cleaning like seats and carpet need a good shampooing. I did most of the detailing I could do, was lots of work but rewarding. Waxing the outside with Nufinish when I can. It is so hot!

2014 Ab Red xB...purchase 4-16 with 20k miles

6-18 just turned over 30k trouble free, non-oil burning miles this month (fingers crossed on the oil burning part)

DIYdad 06-19-2018 11:08 PM

2008 with 129,000 miles. I had the oil burn issue fixed per Toyota by putting in new pistons at 126,000. It runs like a new car... more power. New clutch was installed at that time also. I expect to get another 100,000 miles after the Toyota partial engine rebuild. The car is now going through its "change of life" and I am doing the work on it myself. So far new drive shafts, new struts & shocks, new serpintine belt, and new rear wheel bearings. So far that is summary of all that has been done. I am expecting the water pump, front bearings, and alternator to go in a year or two. Maybe I will get lucky and they will last more than that! I have enjoyed this car more and more over the years. Best car I have ever had in all my years.

I have an 05 with 270,000 miles on it. The car is trying to possess me. Repairs have turned into a game of guess whats wrong with me. And sometimes.....sometimes I can hear the car laughing at me.

2006 xB with 200k and it still runs beautifully.

Bellafreedom 07-10-2018 12:37 AM

Yeah Lisa, mine ran beautifully 70,000 miles ago too. Now every time I get something fixed, something else goes wrong. :?

I expect that to be the case with mine. After a certain age stuff needs to be replaced/repaired. I'm going to have things like wheel bearings (never been replaced) checked for wear and replace what needs to be replaced. I have a spark plug and coil I know are malfunctioning so there's that (or there's four each of that).

2008 xB... 145K miles... Aside from brakes, tires, fluids... Not a single issue! Couldn't ask for a better car, esp in the rustbelt! Holding up really well.

2012 xB. 105,000 bought with 8k on it. Front/ Rear brakes, tires, battery

One light is burned out on the instrument panel. Driver side door lock broken, need to open lock with key.

5 years and 4 months of ownership. i bought it brand-spanking-new. I am currently at 35,900 miles.

Maintenance items so far:
- all 4 tires changed at costco a few months ago
- just had new rotors put in for the first time and the 2nd set of brakepads (i drive this thing pretty hard lol)
- front driver & passenger doors would not lock/unlock. ordered $12 in total for 2-motors and replaced them myself. This saved me hundreds of dollars.
- oil changes every 5k miles religiously at a dealer for $23 plus a "free" car wash ;) can't beat the price plus the free coffee they have in the waiting room.

still love this thing. super reliable but it's obvious bc it has such few miles on it.

146k on my 2011 - burns a lot of oil but runs great. (Just under the recall threshold). Had it since 2012 and had about 30k. I’ve only ever done fluid changes, spark plugs, filters, brakes and tires. I put expensive Michelin’s on there but they are lasting a really long time.

2012 manual. Bought new. 160,000 with nothing, but oil changes, air filter change, and cabin filter change. Sorry for my neglect, but I just get in and put gas in to drive. Preparing for water pump, tensioner pulley, serpentine belt, and idler pulley change. Absolutely loved this car.

2014 xB (Army Rock Metallic) 16K

justinjweir 09-13-2018 02:51 PM

I guess this is as good of time to introduce myself as any...2012 rolling up on 250,000 km (155 mi). All my own maintenance...full synthetic oil change every 10k, nothing more other than filters, fluids, and wear items (brakes, tires, etc (throttle body clean every 6 mos). The wife and I just had the conversation if we gift it to the kids, or take on the challenge of getting it as far as we can...we opted for the latter :rolling:
Seriously loving this thing!

back with not a huge update but was able to snap this pic. in short, bought the car brand spanking new in 2013, have owned it now for 5.5 years and am at 37k miles. This is my train station car which i drive maybe 6 miles a day in total and sometimes on weekends for costco/casino runs :) haha

ps - forgive the filthy/dusty gauge cover.

pps - hehe, 69 mph.

I had the same problem with both the driver side and passenger side front doors. this was the solution. literally $13 in parts (the 2 motors described in the link) and maybe 2.5 hours of time (im not technical with cars so i took it slowly)

watch the youtube video (pause as needed) and he walks you through the whole thing.

2015 xB ..bought it brand new in May 2015 ...92k Miles....just brake pads and tires so far - zero repairs -knock wood.
