I have had my xb since July and it has 2500 miles on it. I had has TONS of cars over the years but I haven't quite figured out the acceleration of this car.

Taking off gently from a stop it is sometimes fine and sometimes it jolts forward like I have floored it and it jolts hard. I haven't figured out much as far as my driving style and I don't have this issue in my husband's car either... Anyone else have similar issues?

 

It could be that your other cars were cable and this is electronic? I had the same issue when I started driving my wifes corolla and when I got my xB. I had more trouble with smoothly braking.

 

Is it a 5 speed or automatic? In any case it maybe you. And no this isn't a sexist kinda thing, it's just that you may need a little more time to adjust to this car. Also does your husband have the same car?

 

Yes it is automatic and no, he has a Mitsubishi Lancer so maybe his and my other cars before this has 'old fashioned' transmissions instead of electric.

 

it took me a few days to adjust to the gas pedal sensitivity on my xB as well as the parts truck new Tundra. Very sensitive.
