Trailer hitch

Hello,

I am new here, and just got an 08 XB. I am a cyclist/canoer and got the roof rack issue solved buy a poster here. I want to haul my bikes on a hitch mount{other vehicle has one & have rack}. Can you tell me what company the hitch is from. I have an RV dealer in my town, and I checked with them ,and they said no hitches listed yet for the XB. Is yours custom welded? Can I get it online from the company? Please let me know. Thanks.

man that looks like it could be a total bummer for the single reverse light situation. I'd imagine a couple bikes loaded and people would never have any clue you were backing up.

Thanks man

Hey,

If you don't mind, how much did all that cost, i.e. hitch and rack. Plus, what's the model or manufacturer of the rack and hitch.

Thanks for the help...Your xB looks totally G. LOVE IT.

My total was $265. & some change.. DELIVERED

Also.. i aint worried about the single back up light.. I DO LOOK when I am backing.. I'LL KNOW what others are doing when I am backing..
PLUS I always but on the "E" Flashers when I am backing .... good luck with your stuff...... jh

Man with that single reverse light if you back up from west to east (counter to the rotation of the earth) you could cause the moon to fall from it's normal orbit. That would be a total bummer.

:rolling:

Nice job on the bike rack install jimmbomb. There should be lots of people interested in that.

My Saris Bones 2 bike rack wasn't cutting it so I too got the hitch and a new bike rack. The hitch installed in minutes and does not interfere with the rear sway bar at all. I got it from eBay for $120 shipped. I got the rack from Performance Bike for $120 out the door. It was on sale for $140 plus I used a 15% off coupon and $8 in credit I had there. I think it's exactly the same as jimmbomb's rack, but branded differently.

So far so good. My old hatch-mounted rack is fine for lightweight road bikes or maybe 1 bike by itself, but this new rack is a lot more stable for any type of bike(s). I put 2 of my heaviest bikes on it and it's solid. Now I can concentrate on the road in front of me rather than constantly looking in the rear view mirror. I should have done this in the first place...

Just placed an order at etrailer for the hitch and bike rack. Went riding today with the wife and decided that jimmbomb's setup would be well worth the money.

bryutas 06-21-2008 07:28 PM

old man's got some style. :P

Mjj770 06-21-2008 07:59 PM

CheapChic 07-11-2008 01:10 PM

wow, great for my bike. I was planning on the borla dual exhause. this this interfere with the dual exhause. can you do a picture of the underneath.
thanks

stinger11723 07-11-2008 04:17 PM

I have the same rack. If no one has posted picks by the time I get home I will try to take some and post them up.

rockthebeef 07-11-2008 05:02 PM

The trailer hitch uses some of the same bolt holes as the Borla Dual exhaust in order to mount the left hanger.
