Our xB project
Hi Everyone, i dont really post on here alot but this forum was a huge help in our purchase of the new 08 xB. Just wanted to say Hi and we look forward to being apart of the Scion community and meeting alot of the other owners at the events. Here's some info on the car thus far....
car was mostly put together over a period of 6 days.
On it's exterior is.....
AIT full lip kit
B-Magic CF hood
B-Magic CF Rear Hatch
BASF Fuscia Pearl Pink
Spyder Auto Lighting
19" Axis Shadow wheels in Matte Black w/ BASF Pink outter lip
Auto Explosion in Gardena did the paint work and is on our TOP recommended list for those of you in California.
much more to be added soon..... next on our immediate list is to install the Memphis Audio equipment and really give that trunk area some umph. Here is a visual for now, more to come once the engine and interior are complete.

Thanks for looking, pinks not for everyone. Susan wears alot of pink as you can see, so i opted for my favorite pink of all time. I fell in love w/ the BASF pink back when BRS did their time attack RX7. It's more magenta than pink and really gives a nice annodized sheen. We're both very happy w/ the outcome and enjoy shopping for new toys for the box!
Miketf1, Yes that is most definitely Cusco on the windshield. They have coilovers prototyped and will have more product available soon enough. Cusco Japan was at HIN LA and I'm sure they saw alot of the Scion that represented. I'll leave the PR work up to them. Cusco is a very credible Japanese company and we are honored to have them support us. I honestly do not know how much product they will be offering to the Scion community but I'm sure I can ask around on Monday and see. maybe even work a group buy or something if there's enough interest.

My favorite pink is from AutoAir. It's called PornstarPink. It's the most dirtiest, trampiest, hookerish, ***** pink I've ever seen.
If it wasn't such a threat to my masculinity, I'd do some type of graphic on my xB2.

their line up is pretty colorful, makes a good gift.
The Autoair Colors Pornstar Pink was definitely an option! we looked at alot of airbrushing forums and custom paints while searching. Although the color was awesome, we couldn't find anyone that would confidently recommend it as well as any of the top paintshops that had extensive experience spraying w/ it. It was more of a problem of finding a waterbased clear that would work apparently. Apparently their waterbased clear, you must wait longer for flash times and for drying.
We came across the BASF line up, the paints a bit thicker but most shops have shot w/ BASF before so they know how to shoot it. BASF's Limco LC4200 clear is excellent and probably better than most of the more expensive brands out there. Alot of the top cars in the scene are all using BASF so we just followed suit. I'm glad we did, I'm sure both are top notch hobbyist paints, we just decided that the BASF line had more of a reputation. Not being painters ourselves, all we can go off is words and recommendations.
We're planning the audio install now, next hopefully will be brakes.
