Default Removing A pillar inner plastic trim?

How do I remove the A pillar inner plastic piece, between the front door windows and the windshield? Does it contain an airbag, if so, will it deploy upon removing it? Thanks

Disconnect your battery, remove the weatherstrip around the door, and start to pull the trim. There is a plastic t that holds the trim and needle nose pliers will allow you to release the trim.

This has been discussed and more detailed instructions exist...use the search function, it is your friend.

I tried searching but the best I found was to disconnect the battery. But thanks!

About the plastic t, is it similar to the ones on the rear hatch plastic cover?

Sorry for being a noob, but would I be turning the big black square, the little tab on the black square, or the little square inside the gray trim piece? I used a nose plier to turn the big black square counter clockwise and it barely moved but it won't move. I'm afraid of breaking it.

LOL A-pillar? Just yank it then pull up and yank, just yank carefully. Thats it...

P.S. and yes there is a airbag but the cover is just covering it, and i did'nt recall needing the pliers for anything just simply pull.

i did it a little differently. I popped out the bottom of the a pillar and rotated it up along the windshield until it spun 90 degrees. then it popped out. you can watch your progress thru the windshield

helped a little
