scion extended warranty site
I was thinking getting my extended warranty from them in a year or so (before the 3yr/36k max).
I priced the 6yr/100k at 885. The dealership has it listed as 1200 or so.
Any opinions???

okay, let me lay it down for you, dealerships are not your friend, they are first and foremost, a place of business.
now, buying an extended service plan from your dealership is a gamble.
you are basically wagering whatever amount they charge for your warrenty, that something will go wrong with your car before that time period or mileage is passed, and the cost of whatever repair(s) you get will be greater than what you have paid for that warranty.
btw, you usually have to have your car serviced exclusively by them i think, so you have to keep giving them money.
now the dealership is betting that nothing will go wrong with your car before that period is up. and most likely nothing will.
now when i went to help my friend buy her scion, they tried to scare her by telling her that her new scion tc is filled with lots of expensive computers that can breakdown and are expensive to buy and just as expensive to have installed. made me sick to my stomach that this jerk was trying to scare her into spending a couple grand more on top of the car she had just bought from them, and i was like "you greedy sob" in my head. took her outside, laid it out for her just like that, she declined, and the guy gave me such a scowel.

I always buy extended warranties, but thats just me.
I checked a couple of things on the site, it is listed as lexus of Greenwich, same phone and everything. Looks like a dealership selling warranties.
Anyone else find anything out?

I just bought a warranty from Toyota of Greenwich. $745. 7 Year/100,000 mile, Platinum $0 deductible. Spoke with Troy Dietrich. This is the real Toyota Financial Services plan. Others have posted with the same results from him.

I accidentally put Greenwich. It is Greenfield, as in Greenfield, MA. If you look at those posted links, Troy's phone number is there. I got my warranty paperwork yesterday. It's a phenomenal price for an extended warranty.

100% Toyota Financial Services extended service plan. That is the name of Toyota's extended warranty. I had the option of 7/100 for $745, or 7/75 for $570, so if your not a high mileage type of driver, you can save $175.
