Default Tire rubbing on strut

Hey guys i have an 09 xB2 and im on DF210 springs with stock struts and have 18x7.5 high offset wheels and found out last night the very inside tread on the front tires was amost bald and the tires are almost new. i looked around and found that on both side the tire seems to be rubbing against the strut. Has anyone had this issue and if so what do you think the best option would be to fix it maybe some coilovers so that bottom plate is taken out or spacers?

hmm sounds weird. i had 18x7.5 +42 dropped on coilovers before and didnt have a problem with rubbing on the strut, on nf210s i didnt have any problems either. granted neither of those are df210, but i havent heard of anyone with rubbing on the struts before.

yeah i dont have any pictures now i have the wheels off so i can touch up the paint and thats how i noticed but if you look at a stock strut it has the large bottom plate that holds the larger diameter spring compared to aftermarket coilovers and there is a little u shaped braket that adds support for that plate to the strut and it just hits it i guess. it didnt look like it on the ground but when i pull the tire off that one spot on both driver and passenger sides is very clean and the inside tire tread is almost gone

Either way too high of an offset or too tall of a tire. Or both.

Use spacers if you have to have those wheels. Must be like +60s or so with a 235/40R18 tire man.

yeah thats what i thought on the first set of tires so i took them down to a 225/40 and lost the fender rub but still have this. just wasnt sure if this has happened before to anyone else. im looking at possible spacers or maybe a coilover kit that doesnt have that large bottom plate on the strut itself.
