traction cotrol

Has anyone been able to disable there traction control? Like more then holding the button down just to have it reset by itself.

Problem is my xb is turbo'd (it's a 5 speed if that matters) and when i'm on it after 40mph and it reactivates. it senses the wheel spin and it feels like it's cutting engine power and the lights on the dash start to blink.

If i have to i will keep a speed sensor disconnected or something, but it's my daily so id rather not have to do that. Cause i'm assuming it would affect more than just my traction control

Off topic but what turbo? I want to do mine. And am curious. Thanks

There's a procedure that you can do before starting the B with the e-brake and brake that disables EVERYTHING(Trac, VSC, etc) until you turn off and restart the car...It's supposed to be a diagnostic mode for helping check for issues.

I can't remember it exactly, but if you do it in the winter on an icy road, you find out just how much your car does to keep you pointed in the right direction.

Found this....sounds about right...

start the car with the parking brake on ….then foot brake twice….(keep the foot brake down)….then parking brake twice (keep it down )and repeat till skid light is on the dash…..it will reset when you restart the car”

Thank you tor that information, I will try that.

Cause I only want to disable it occasionally for when i take it to the track or something, And for the other 99% of the time i wouldn't mind it being functional.
