Default When hardwiring a radar detector in an XB2....

Does anybody know if there is a fuse that is only on when the car is on but that doesnt require a light or anything to be on in order for the circuit to be hot? I am wanting to hardwire my radar detector.

Thanks in advance

use the small blue wire underneather the pannel on the driver side like where ur foot goes when u step out.
i ran the wire up through the head rest down the a pillar down the framing to there.

Radar detector goes on when u turn the key.

goes off when u open the door.

i love my V1

hopefully this helps let me know if you need any more pics.
i just tucked the wire behind the headliner, popped out the a-pillar fed the wire through alll the way down the door frame to there.

my hardwire kit came with that handy connector so that i dident even have to cut that wire.

Hmmm....personal choice but I like the Valentine line. Do they actually work....??? Well it depends on what band or setting is being used by law enforcement in your area. With laser, PoP3, or scatterburst laser you are pretty much nailed by the time the detector goes off but at least you'll have heads up that you are getting pulled over most likely...lol

no problem hope the install went smoothly

and as far as the best radar i would say the V1 hands down.

as personally being hit with pop and lazer i had the chance to slow down around 5mph which isnt much but its enough.
and ARROWS. there great.

So, what exactly did I tap into here? I am looking for a place to use to power my led set up and I am thinking about tapping into the same wire again but with a switch to turn them on or off.

I will most likely leave them on when the car is on but would like to be able to turn them off if I'd like.
