I think it's the black on the bottom that messes it up. Check out this one. Looks way better.....

Ive seen that xb a few times in person... Its ok the quality is great but red and black has just been done to many times. Thats what really turns me off of it.
I like what five axis did red and a dark metallic grey. Nice change of pace.

Meh some people would agree with you but more color isn't really a bad thing IMO. There is a difference between rice and a paint job.
I just see it more as a extension of your creativity but like you said its not always going to be somebody's cup of tea.
