Toyota said from the very beginning that all Scion models will be short lived - and be replaced with different models that do not share the same name.

Look up some of the earlier Scion news, from back in 2003.

No, it's true. Every three years they are going to come out with another model, different than the previous model and it won't be called the previous model either. It's just a part of how Scion does things.

He cant really say, being a dealer i know from my buddy being a Scion manager they know whats coming or to a certain degree can assume whats coming. However its putting there butt/job on the line by saying some things but from what i have heard it will be a 1.8 L in the new xB

if this is how they are doing things....didn't the xA hit the states the same time as the xB???????

any news on the xA situation??

didn't they release scions in mid 2003?? so they are already going longer that three years...

read the business speak here..
short model life span. (3-4-5 years) industry is 8
totally new models, not 'freshi ups' (could reuse names, but 100% new design) industry is a fresh up every at the half life span or 4 years

model years. not actual years. meaning 2004 , 2005 , 2006. they can sell they earlier and or longer.

AMEN. this guy knows the only good thing about a new xB with a different motor. and that is getting rid of the crappiest motor ever that we currently are pestered with.

scion is not using the 5 year plan.

and scions didnt start in 03 they were sold in 03 as 04 models. they will most probably be sold in 07 but as 06 models.

Well for certain in a few months we will all know, but all this speculating and guessing is entertaining, I'm just hoping for more power and at least as unique looking.

Hmmm, which auto manufacturers first introduced this sort of policy? Ah, I remember. It was General Motors, Ford and Chrysler, back in the '50s.

Sure glad to see that Toyota is showing such tremendous innovation! New sheet metal and badges every three years, what a concept!
