Default Is the xB2 a bB?

Title says it all. Maybe I'm dumb, but I keep seeing people selling the badge for the xB2. I thought that the gen 1 xB was the bB...?

That's what I figured. Sucks too... the Rumion is a turd if you ask me. Oh well, guess mine will have to stay an xB Thanks draxcaliber!

absolutely not.
the XB2 is the Toyota Corolla Rumion.

the only "bB" ever sold in the US was the first gen. xB.

so please, don't put bB badges on your xB2's.
please.

I like the Rumion. But like everyone else has said, this generation xB is just an xB.

What if you have a Rumion front end?

I just hope not to see people with badges and no Rumion parts. Just the rear wing will not cut it in my book.

Doesn't matter IMO. You can put every jdm part on your ride but it will never the real deal so why call it something its not? That's as bad as people who have acura integras with jdm fronts and put Honda badges.

what is the problem with putting some jdm parts on your car?

the acura integra is sold in japan as the honda integra, the acura rsx was still call the honda integra in japan. they are mechanically identical, so does putting a jdm honda front bumper and badging on it mean you are calling it something it isn't?

so putting jdm toyota corolla rumion stuff on your second gen xb is the same thing.

it isn't like some loser's car i saw the other day, a saturn sky with ferrrari badges on it. that is stupid, but changing the labeling of your car from what it is called in the us to what it is called in japan really isn't such a bad thing so long as you aren't just being a douche bag badging a turb with lambo emblems.

I don't have a problem with putting on JDM parts. And I also understand they are the EXACT same vehicle, but your vehicle isn't named a Corolla rumion or Honda Integra in the US market. If you need CLEAR clarification check your title or open your drivers side door and look down. If you want a real one and want to sport the badges, then import a REAL RHD (right hand drive) japanese version and then your're fine but don't call it something it isn't.

Another perfect example with domestics is with GM/Ford. I see people who put Escalade and Navigator front ends on their Silverados/Tahoes & f-150s/expeditions, which is fine. But when you put a CADILLAC OR LINCOLN EMBLEM on the grill it doesn't make since because YOU DO NOT HAVE A REAL CADILLAC OR LINCOLN. Why try and identify it as something it isnt is what cracks me up with some folks.

I can go on and on just like the Rota wheels when people slap on VOLK stickers on them. ..... I know my other examples aren't exactly the same situation as the main topic but you get the idea.

I think the perfect example would be G35 owners putting "Skyline" or "GT-R" badges on their car. The "Rumion" does not belong on a xB2!

Come on AAG, no one is going to import a 17000 car just so they can say they have an authentic "JDM" Rumion, it would cost way too much.
As for badging your ride, do what you want with it. It is YOUR ride, so don't let certain people's negativity sway you from doing what you want with it.

Of course, you can do whatever to your ride. I just voiced my opinion on badging your usdm car as a jdm

I guess i did wrong than?? I was the first to get these rumion parts.

For all i know i dont give a rip on what people think.. im Happy and thats the main thing..

what does it matter that its not a true JDM car.. Isnt that why its called modifiying your car.. and why is there JDM class in Car shows and most are not true JDM but most are conversions. Some people just dont appreciate the build with JDM. they just rather buy everything else thats so easy to get and everyone else has..

Sorry for offending a few of you guys here.. Everyone Has there own Taste..

but why does most Scion XB owner put bB and toyota Badges on there cars..

I don't think it's "ricey" if you put on the different body parts and emblems/badges. Just the badges..yes. I used to be a custom truck guy (and would still be now if they did'nt get such bad mpg's) and constantly saw/still see guys putting Escalade front ends/badges on Chevy's/GMC's. You could/can take a late 70's GM truck and put an early 80's frontend on it..(same body style from there back) and make your older truck look like a newer one and upgrade to newer parts like flush mounted head/signal lights. They've been doing it for years...customisers/modders have been doing it for a long time. Whether it's using parts from cars sold oversea's or here JDM,USDM,--DM, it does'nt matter if you do it right.

x2

i believe that if its the same car, it totally acceptable. I mean why not? Its the same make, just the american version. And importing a rumion would be pointless, you will be paying thousands of dollars for basically the emblem and the bumpers. the only MAJOR diffrence is the rhd part. so you will be lhd with jdm parts. so what?
