Default Anyone had 2008 XB2 front suspension go bad?

I have just over 53,000 miles on a 2008 XB 2nd generation. The tire clearance seems noticeably lower and I've experienced two instances of tire rub in colder temps recently. I'm guessing the struts are worn from the engine weight and it's time to replace. Any advice / experiences? Thanks!

Just shy of 77k stock and no issues '08 xB2. No wander and solid on the road in a speed burst.

Wish I had a suspension just the same.

Actually my mileage is just over 55k, and purchased in October 2007. I'm also a bit mystified at the recently noticeable changes in the front end. This thing is definitely self-lowering. One big change is moving the car from Huntington Beach to the Pennsylvania mountains. The struts are definitely getting a work out here - a lot of dirt road, borderline rally car stuff. I was surprised to get tire rub in paved road dips! Now these are some seriously tight, curvy pasture roads, but surprising none the less. And I am pretty sure they are making noise over real rough stuff - sound is sort of like a muffled, wooden box of bowling ***** being shaken about. It's hard to gauge reduced handling performance since it fades so gradually over time, but I am hoping it's going to be a noticeable change. If the parts arrive on time, I'll let you know Monday.

Update: It was worth the time and expense. Pretty amazing to discover how bad the OEM struts had gotten. Having fresh equipment in there made a noticeable difference. YAY! - no more front end drag in steep driveway entrances that had been a problem before. It seems that 50-55,000 miles is about all the originals can handle.

I also have an 08 xb and appears I too also have front bad suspension. This was finally discovered as the cause of my tire cupping issue that no one could figure out until now. I am on stock suspension and have 65k miles.
