Clunking noise in front

Can anyone help me?

I have a weird knocking sound in my front passenger suspension. When I drive over rough road and/or bumps, the sound comes out. Sounds like metal-to-metal also. I checked and 2x checked the front suspension. Everything is bolted down tight. Does anyone know or experienced this?
Btw, I'm riding on TRD shocks and struts w/ S-Techs with only 13k miles on them.

How many miles on the car? I had the same thing and finally figured out it was the sway bar end links that were clunking in the ball joints. Replaced them with a set of spherical end joints and adjustable centers. Costs more, about $150, but it's over built and I can change the length when I lower it so they keep the sway bar in the correct position.

It has about 17,600mi. Idk if it's that. The sound is coming from the passenger front only. I don't hear it anywhere else.

You'd be surprised. Mine was only coming from the driver's front and once I changed the end links it went away. With only 17K miles though it shouldn't be the end links, but it can't hurt to check.

Hello,

I know this thread is old, but perhaps someone will still reply....

I'm getting the same thing, but my mechanic said that there is no play in the sway bar. I asked him to check it.

808xBguy: Can you confirm whether that was the cause of your problem?

Greg S: Do you have any suggestions for me?

Thank you.

I'd at least eyeball any wear/tear chassis parts that are commonly replaced. Jack up the front end. With both hands, try wiggle the passenger wheel at the 3 and 9 o-clock positions. Then wiggle at the 6 and 12 o-clock positions. The wheel should be firm and silent. Any movement and or noise at the 3 and 9 positions indicate a bad tie rod end. Any movement and or noise at the 6 and 12 may be bad ball joint(s).

No play in the sway bar suggests your sway bar bushings are good but it doesn't necessarily mean your end links are ok. A set of front end links are relatively inexpensive. Moog and Mevotech are decent and cost $75 or less. Installation can be a pain, particularly if the old end links are rusty.
