Lifting the xB2, part 2.

I am actually itching to experiment with this!

Check out the suspension on this Rav4:

Looks similar to ours, no?

Apparently, they make lift springs for the Rav4, if so, they might just fit our xB2 as well.

That looks almost exactly like our rear spring cup.

I found some promising lift springs here:

These + Pro Comp rock crawler wheels = monsterbox!

Rav4's are 4 wheel drive though, why do you want to lift your xB? Just curious.

i thought i saw a lifted xb a while back they just got coilovers and went to max height with them and it lifted it like a inch to a 1.5 lift.

i may be wrong though

I saw awhile back suspension kits for our cars to lift them. Its on this forum I just don't remember the thread name

you can just put chunky tires on 15s w/stock suspension and it will look lifted.

The Rav4 in the link I posted seems to be FWD, it doesn't have a driveshaft.

Yeah, but coilovers aren't comfortable.

Definitely different than 19" and slammed.

I think a monsterbox would look pretty cool.

I don't think stock springs will give me the clearance I need.

The rock crawler wheels will stick out about 70mm past the fenders, if someone sits in the rear seats of my car, the fenders will rub the tires.

Just have spacers made, that should give you a pretty good boost. Or airbags :P

NurSpec 07-14-2010 11:19 PM

Sounds like a cool idea. Keep us updated if you plan to go through with the lift.

I had air suspension, coilovers, and shocks and springs on this car.

So far, my favorite has been shocks/springs by far in terms of comfort/performance/reliability.

If you actually read that, you would see that I was the one to start that thread, hence, I named this one "part 2"

the "If any of you are curious, not that I would want to" part must have thrown me off. :)

oreoremix42 07-15-2010 03:49 PM

What is your purpose for lifting a xb2?
