Rear Disc Brake disassembly???
I need to know how to take out the spring loaded ebrake assembly in the rear brake cylinder assembly. There is on c-clip in the top of the spring retainer. Is that all I need to remove? Is it under pressure?
Thanks

You first have to remove the trim from around the e-brake handle inside the car (just pulls off), back off the adjusting nut to get some slack in the e-brake cable. Count how many times you turn the nut so you can turn it back to the same position when you reassemble. You will need two wrenches (10mm?), one to hold the bottom nut the other to loosen the locknut. Go to the rear brake caliper and pull back on the ball at the end of the cable, then slide the brake cable off the brake lever slot.
Use a 14mm box wrench ( I think that is the size I used), slide the box wrench over the ball end of the brake cable, slide the wrench up until it stops against the clip bracket. While holding the wrench, pull up/wiggle the brake cable and it should slide free from the cable bracket. I had a lot of corrosion around the clip so I had to move the wrench slightly around to compress the round clip while pulling up on the cable. The box of the wrench compresses the clip so it will slide through the hole in the brake bracket.
Just reverse the procedure to reassemble.
Hope this is what you are looking for.
