I thought about paint and powder coat and all that but the surface is just crap. It's pitted and has some minor curb rash, and I'm just not happy with how they held up. Plus they're 16x7 +40, if I remember correctly, and I want something that's a little more aggressive. I'm looking for some 16x8, maybe 16x9 with minimal offset so I have an excuse to run some camber and stretch my tires, then paint the inner lip of the rim bright red. =]

For those who like this look, I was quoted just under $300 from hubcap mike for the spider caps and trim rings as a set. Not too shabby. I'm going to need to 'shop this wheel look onto a black B with non-whitewall tires, maybe paint the rims red, to see what mine would look like, but I really dig the concept =0)

I've decided to go with 16's myself. I do like the way the tires have the bubble out look on the op's xB. How is that achieved and without going much past the original offset what would be the widest tire I could go with?

5 x 4.5" is the exact same as 5 x 114.3mm.

That's a cool alternative to replacing the wheels. What about the security of those trim rings? Could someone just pop them off or are they locked in place at all?

Rip them off with your own hands. No locks.

Hi Roller_Toaster (lol, I just *got* that) These white rims look great, but you didn't mention what brand/type they are. Did you repaint them?

Not sure about the red in the middle but I'm seriously interested now in some small white rims. Looks sharp.
