Ok so the axis thread got me thinking and I am loving the super aggressive look with tires that are a little streched.

Could you do 18x9 with 25 to 35 offset with a 225/45/18?

The tire for a little extra side wall, a small strech and some agressive looking ruber to go with the stance. Yes, I know I would be rolling the fenders, maybe a pull and shave to go with it to make it fit. Also, I thinking of this on coilovers so I could get the stance proper.

Let me know your thoughts and if I am just plain crazy.

Im sure you wont have any problems running that setup as far as the tire stretching goes. Dont know bout rubbage.

 

You'll rub with 225/45-18 tires. You should go with 225/40-18 tires, and as long as you have coilovers that are dialed in fairly stiff and not real low I don't think you'll rub. If you want to drop it low on the coilovers, or have a better ride quality, then you will need even more stretch on the tires.

 

I'm running 18x8 +40 wheels with 225/40ZR18 tires on my xB with Tanabe NF210 springs and haven't had any rubbing at all - even with three passengers in the back.

The NF210s are not the most radical drop, but this is my daily driver and 2nd family car. So, I need to consider both looks and practicality. The car looks nice (significantly better than stock, but not too radical), rides great, and as stated - absolutely no rubbing.

you can do 18x9 +25/30 but i wouldn't recomend it on a 225 tire. i would do a 215/45 for a pu**y stretch or a 205 for a moderate stretch and you will need to roll the fenders.
