2013 Winter Tires

Going into September here it is starting to get a little cooler. People here normally put their winters on in mid October, going into November. With my new xB I am going to use the stock steelies for now until I get winter tires, then put them on them. in 2014 I will be looking at getting some alloys.

Anyway, my question was what winter tires should I be looking at? I want something super safe, as well as quiet. If anyone can share what they are using/experiences that would be awesome :D

I haven't used snow tires in years, but my father has. He picked up a pair of the Bridgestone Blizzaks for his RWD 300C. He said it handles snow and ice perfectly fine.

Go on Tire Rack and get anything that says "Studless ice and snow". DO NOT bother with any that say "performance snow/winter". They are useless on ice or in anything over an inch, you're better off with all seasons. Trust me, I had a set and used to sell tires.
