225/45/18's Will they fit?
I have a 08 xB2 that I currently have 19's with 235/35/19's on. After 2 months of fearing every pot hole that I see I think I'm done with 19's. I already have a mark in the front rims from a week ago. So what I want to do is go to something that rides better and has more rubber to the road.
I looked at 17's but for me they don't look right. I talked to my tire guy he said that he would like to try a 225/45/18. My fear is they will rub, and might also be too tall. Anyone have experience running these on their xB2. Also I am planning on getting NF's so they would need to work with it lowered as well.

225/45-18 tires won't rub, as long as you get the right size wheel and offset.
Here is a picture of an xB2 on NF springs with 18x7.5 +43 offset wheels and 225/45 tires, with no rubbing as per the owner:

Thanks again for letting me post your picture jo_maoma, in the spirit of helping our fellow ScionLifers.
As long as you get 18x7.5 wheels with an offset between +42 and +48 you will be fine with NF springs and 225/45 tires. In addition to giving you more sidewall
for ride quality and wheel lip protection, the larger tires also fill out the tire/fender gap an extra 1/2" compared to the stock tire size (1/4" more than your current 235/35-19 tires).
This is the same size set-up I plan on going with when I finish wearing out my OEM tires.

This is good to know, thanks. This is the size that I have thought about going with just to keep the ride quality good.
Is there no way to adjust the speedo so that it is correct with this size tire? I know on early american cars and trucks you could change the speedo gear, just thought that it might be possible with these cars via sensor or cpu.

What do you think CIONIDE?

Thanks CIONIDE.
There are a few things that have me debating myself.....
I think the car handles and rides nicely now. I got a good deal on a TRD rear sway...and had that put on. Great stuff...and I am happy...but keep wondering....
Also, this is a daily commuter, kid hauler...etc. So I want it to remain comfortable, as well as useful for carrying things....but of course, I love fun driving.
Lastly, the drops I see on this forum look SOOO nice!
Here are a couple of pictures of the car at stock height. I modified the contrast and brightness so you can see the tires better.
