Default How much can I raise/lift an xB with just wheels and tires ???

I'm a newbie and this my first post so please be gentle on me

Thinking about buying a xB, 2013 thru 2015 and I will be coming from a Tacoma Pre-Runner,,,, I like that higher truck ride, look and feel.

Looking at a new xB in the dealer showroom there was an xB with 19" wheels and 235/35 tires that did raise that xB quite a bit but no one could tell me if that particular Xb had a lift also done.

If I do purchase an xB I'm wondering how much overall height I could gain with just wheels and tires without doing a lift kit ?

Sorry for my wheel/tire size question,,, I did do several searches and didn't really find a clear answer to my question,,,, plus I'm a bit challenged when it comes to wheel tire sizes.

So if I go with 18" or 19" wheels what's the biggest size tire I could get away with to raise/lift the xB.

Thanks much in advance for any tire wheel size suggestions to attain my goal.

Cheers
Davyo

www.willtheyfit.com is a great database where you can plug in different tire heights.

All in all, I think you could probably fit a decently tall 18" or 19" tire with ease. You may rub on the inside of the front wheel well, but you'll just have to pay attention whilst driving.
Overall, the height of the 235/35R19 tire compared to the OEM 205/55R16 is 16mm taller. Not a lot.

I'd recommend a 225/45R19 tire with a wheel around 19x8" with an offset around 40mm or so. You should be fine, but I'm really not 110% sure.

Thank you for your reply, feedback and being nice to the new guy.

When you say I won't get a very big height gain (Not a lot) with the wheels and tires that leads me to believe the showroom XB I looked at must have also had a lift,,,,, I'll have to re-visit the dealership and see if I can find anyone that can give me an answer on that.

The showroom XB had a very noticeable height difference while not having a big gap between the tires and the wheel wells, as in it did not look like it had an obvious lift done to it,,, it just looked like the wheels and tires were giving it that higher stance more truck like vibe.

Thanks again.

Cheers

I highly doubt the stock xB at the dealer had a lift. HIGHLY.

I think Randode builds lift kit for the front of the xB, but I don't know what you'd do for the rear. A longer shock and longer spring I'm sure, but where would one procure...

You're pretty much guaranteed that the showroom one did not have a lift on it. The only lift kit I know of for the 2nd gen xB is the one made by Randode. You can get ahold of him on Facebook under Randall Randode West. I believe his kit will lift you 2".
