Hi everyone,

Since I purchased my xB, I've been reading on the SL forums constantly, and I've learned a lot. I am finally staring to do some work on my xB, and need some help on wheels and tires.

I would like to go with Tenzo R DC-5 Version 2 wheels in 17x7 in either bronze or charcoal gray. I eventually plan on installing Tanabe 210's once my credit card cools off. I was wondering if I could get some feedback on tire recommendations, and some feedback on Tenzo wheels in general.

ive owned a set of 18" hyperblack Tenzo R GT6 on my 1st gen xB and now i have 17x7" Flatblack Tenzo R Type M ver 1s on my 2nd gen xB .. they both arent that light the but they do look sweet. i think they are like 19lbs each. other than that i have no complaints.

as for the tires, i had Kumho Ecsta ASXs(low profile tires), i think these were all season...could be wrong though, good bang for the buck, rides smooth, not to loud, and good grip on the 18s and for the 17s i have Toyo Proxes 4s(not low profile tires), tire grip is awsome, rides smoother, wet traction is good too, and decent price for summer performance tires

so its all up to you on how much you want to spend on tires and your driving applications. next time i buy another set of tires i plan on getting some BFgoodrich G-force T/A KDW2 or some yokohama advan Sports..not sure yet though

Thanks for the feedback! Since the wheel is only offered in a 42 offset, what are some good tire sizes for a daily commuter? Also my xB2 is super white, so charcoal or bronze? Your thoughts? I'm partial to both, but I need to see some pics to make up my mind.

go with bronze...i think itll look sweet with white. also idk my tire size for my 17x7" Type M ver 1s but it has the same offset 42. i pretty much got the standard size for the tire..it might be 225/45-17

Charcoal & bronze will both look good on SW, the decision is yours. 225/45-17 is the tire size you want on 17x7 +42 for a daily driver.

BTW, if you don't wash your car very often, the charcoal wheels will hide the brake dust better.

Okay, now I am confused. I have taken a liking to the Enkei RPF1 in silver. In order to save some cash so I could get Tanabe NF210 springs and wheels, I decided to go with 16in. wheels. Would the RPF1 in a 16x7 w/+43 work with OEM tires and would still look clean with the lowering springs?

Appreciate the feedback/advice!

16x7 +43 will work fine with the OEM tires.

Personally, I prefer a little more drop with 16's. I think the NF's look better with 17" or 18" wheels:
