just bought some used 19 rims (ASA JH9)

on the inside of the rims it has the bolt pattern of 5x114.3 stamped on them. tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE750, 235-35-19. and the rims do not line up with the bolts. Everywhere i look, people/ companies say the 08' XB has a 5x114.3 bolt pattern.
WTF? should i be wearing a helmet? or is something wrong with the rims?
wut you guys think? i hope i didnt misread the bolt pattern on the net.

Our bolt pattern is 5x114.3 (4.5") so yes, somebody should be wearing a helmet... maybe the guy who stamped the rims. Measure them, or try mounting again just to be sure it wasn't the nut holding the wheel.

At first I was wondering if they're dual bolt pattern wheels (10 holes) but I found a pic of JH9's and that's obviously not the problem.
You're correct that ours is 5x114.3 . I think it's very unlikely that a company would've stamped the wheel one bolt pattern but the holes actually be different. But anything's possible.
Obly thing I can think of is maybe the wheel/tire is hitting something and not allowing it the wheel to line up all the way. Maybe it's not jacked up high enough for the studs to be high enough to line up? Could be something simple.

i tried jacking it up higher and checked for things hitting the rim, and found nothing. just gonna bring it to the tire shop tomorow and make them put on the rims... they better get those babies on. like you said its prob something simple and im just overlooking it.

i went to Sears today and had them try to put them on (thinking that i couldnt cuz i didnt have the car high enough off ground and/or maybe i was overlooking something).

They said the rims are the wrong lug size.
So there goes $20 for nothing, but at least i found out that i didnt need to wear a helmet.
after that i looked on the back of the rims and it said "5x114.3" and under that "5x120" funny how you notice what you are looking for but miss whats around it.
the guy i bought the rims from is being cool about it, he offered my money back, then he called me back and told me to bring the rims to a certain tire shop. dude said that the rims have adapters in the lug holes to adjust size, and that the seller will pay for anything that needs to be done. so monday morning i have to go get them checked out, if they still dont fit, he will give me my money back.
