Just bought some Infinite G35 rims... Will they fit?

I just bought some 2006 G35 rims for the XB. They are 17x7, 5x114.3, +45mm, and wrapped in 215/55/17 tires. Do I need hub-centric rings?

Dunno..I was rolling 18x8 RX-8 wheels for a while and they fit fine...

davedavetC 11-27-2007 05:24 PM

why would you wanna put infinity rims on a scion?

atodak 11-27-2007 05:30 PM

its recommended you use hubcentric rings. you might get some wobble on the freeway. post some pics withem on!

probobly should have asked if they fit b4 you bought them eh? they'll fit, and you should always use hubcentric rings.
are you going to rebadge the xb as a nissan or are you going to try to change out the center caps on the rims?

BECAUSE they look BAD A$SS! That's WHY!!! :P

After owning a bimmer, I am a big fan of stock quality. Back in the day, I bought some iForged rims for my M3, and they were the WORST rims I ever purchased. The damn wheels took 3 months to make, 2 of them were bent from the factory and could not be balanced at the tire shop, and the rears didn't even fit. Then after a few set backs, they supposedly fixed the problem, but anything over 80mph, my damn wheels would wobble.

The fact is, most after market companies cannot hold a candle to the high OEM standards. There are only a few after market rim manufactures I trust like BBS and Fikse, but other than that, I prefer OEM wheels. Rather than buying cheap after market rims, I wanted stock quality. Yes, the Infnite symbol throws it off, but I'm going to rebadge the emblem with a "Scion" emblem.

If I ever plan to downgrade my car, I'll rebadge it to an Infinite. But for now, I'll probably take the "Scion" emblem from the hub caps and rebadge the rims "Scion."

The offset is a little high for a 7" wide wheel... it'll definitely be tucked in pretty far.

Actually, the correct offset is +33 and not +45, so I think I should be fine. It's too bad the tire sizes weren't closer, because they are currently wrapped in 205/55/17. They are noticeably taller than the stockies.

My main problem was finding a hub centric ring. Travis, from Discount Tires, helped me out with finding the right ones. I basically had to buy hub centric rings with an inside diameter to 60.1mm and an outside diameter of 66.1. I ordered the hub centric rings last night, so when they get in, I'll test fit the rims.
