My new Wheel Poject

My new Wheel Poject
Well I went from my 18" XXRs back to stock for a while. I found a deal this week on some 19" Racing Hart Cx rims. They need some work and have all the centercaps. They have seen better days but are in overall good shape. I paid less that $300 for all 4. They are 19x7.5 in the front and 19x8.5 in the rear.
The tire has a bubble in the side wall so I just test fitted the rim. I will be going with a tire with a larger side wall. More than likely a 40.

Spend the 275 and have just the centers/spokes PowderCoated in satin black and leave the lip polished chrome...thery're going to look sweet!!
As for tires...look at the Continental DWS All Seasons 235-35-19 work great for me for over a year and they have a 50k tread life. Got mine at discount tires for 167.00 a tires.

Definitely a SCORE! when you can get quality multi-piece wheels for under $200 apiece (<half MSRP).
As already suggested, SATIN black, gold, bronze, or maybe SuperWhite would realy set off the polished lips and assembly bolts. Note that polished lips are typically clear anodized, so be carefull not to repolish too aggressively.

The Sating black would be too much of a color contrast on the white. I had gold before hand and I want to go with a more subtle color so I may leave them the way they are. THe lips do need some attention.
Powder coating here where I live is quite expensive. There are only a couple of places in the area and they name their prices.

You could possibly rebuild them to be more aggressive. Keep the centers silver. Silver looks good on everything. Black is played out, IMO, and gets lost in the wheel well. If you spend decent amount of dough on wheels, you want people to notice them. Just my $.02.
