Default Need help figuring out wheels 18x9.5 59offset

I bought a set of Enkei EKM3 that were supposed to be 18x8 40 offset but when I started cleaning them they looked wide (didn't have a tape measure with me when I picked them up). They were widened on the back by 1.5" so they are now 18x9.5 and I calculated the new offset as 59.05mm. If I use a 20mm spacer to make the offset 39 will they work with my car, 08xb df210?

What tires should I use?

That's me. When I realized what they were I put them up for sale. I got them real cheap, less than what I have them listed for. But if I can make them work it would be cool. I can always take the ad down.

I have seen many people have done 18x9.5. I need to know what the best offset (what spacers I would need) and tire size to make them fit without rolling my fenders.

If you look in the 2nd picture on left upper side they were 18x8 from Enkei.

You can def run a spacer to bring down the offset, tires I would think a 225-40 would work just fine. I'm just wondering if you add the spacer how much will poke?

I would think it would poke the same as a regular 9.5 wheel depending on the offset. The offset is from the center line of the wheel so from what I read about recalculating the offset, my centerline was shifted by 19mm. If I add a spacer and shift it back it will be just like a normal 9.5 wheel. Its just the face will be flush like an 8" wheel not concave like a 9.5" wheel.

If they've been widened, show pictures of the welds. I highly doubt someone widened these, it's way too much work.
Measure from the inside lip where the tire mounts to the other side where the tire mounts.

I was thinking the same thing, "why would anyone widen these wheels?", but you never know people do weird things. xseveredveganx thank you for posting that picture I think that I made a mistake based on a lack of knowledge. As I was cleaning them I saw this odd indented line around the back of the rims.

I measured it and it was at 8". That is what made me think the wheel was widened.

The wheels have tires on them so I can not measure an internal width. So I measured the backspacing. The tire adds ~0.25" beyond the rim so the backspace is ~6" which is correct according to the wheel and tire calculator on rimsntires.

I went and looked for angled pictures of the EKM3 and found that indent in the rim is always there you can even see it on pictures on Enkei. I guess I was not expecting the overall width of an 8" wheel to be around 9.5" and that threw me.

It was good I asked questions even if they were the wrong questions. Thanks for the help.

So I think I am going to keep these wheels. They are a bit rough on the edges but I think I will try plasti dip to cover up the blemishes. This is what my car looks like now. I like the look of the gold with blue but those fake screw heads on these rims make polishing the lips an absolute nightmare. The hood and area around the plate are already plasti dipped. I think the EMK3s will look good in bronze or gold.
