TPMS question

I have a set of steelies on my car from another xb and it still had the TMPS sensors on them so I threw them on my car. The light on my dash hasn't turned on and they've been on the car for almost a week now. Will I have any issues down the line with the light coming on? or does Toyota the same sensors in all xb's?

i believe toyota"s tpms needs no reprograming when sensors are replaced. i know nissan tpms need to be reprorammed if any sensor is replaced.

It shouldn't be working with a different set of sensors without having them reprogrammed to the car. I would say yes the light will come on at some point and really should have way before now. It is possible that there is somehting wrong with you TPMS system and it may not come on. I'm running a set of temporary rims while I have my dailies refinished and the sensor came on within a day and has stayed on since.

They did come on once but thats because one of the tires has a leak in it so I had to put more air in, other than that the light hasn't come back on. Either way, I think i'll go ahead and switch the sensors out before trading it in. Thanks for the help 06scionxb and Greg S.

I did the same thing and the light didn't come on for quite some time.
