Anything Relating to HID
few questions:
On sylvania.com, they say my scion xD hid bulb should be H2. This forum says it should be H4. What bulb should i get. Well, its too late. I already got my H4. Now my question is, I am wiring what the instructions on the paper and website shows. My low beam looks like hi beam and my high beam does not turn on. Is there anything i am doing wrong?

H4 is correct.
Check your wiring harness from the car to your kit. Make sure it's plugged into the plug correctly. Match up where the grease was connected to the old headlights and use those, and if those don't work, flip it 180 degrees. but the two side ones must match up.
a bi-xenon should only be one bulb. the hi-lo kit has a halogen attached to the xenon, where the xenon is low beam and the halogen is high beam.
If you're looking at 2 bulbs in the same thing, then you go the hi-lo kit.

Hello there!
My gf just bought the xd and is picking it up this Saturday.
I'm planning to get her HIDs and have been reading up on some stuff.
So the XD runs on H4/HB2/9003 bulb types. I haven't really researched too much on the stock lights, however, reading on the posts here, Bi-Xenon HIDs are available for the XD. What happens to the DRLs then? Typically I think most cars use the same bulb for DRL / HI-beams. <-- We're in Canada so DRLs are required.
If these don't affect the DRLs, I think I'm going to go with the Bi-Xenon lights from HIDextra since they do have the shield that prevents glare. I don't want to be that A-hole blinding everyone. lol
In terms of the installation, it's just plug and play right? There's nothing that I have to do to fit that extra shield / deflector right?
Thanks.

However, I'm unable to do that.
I think I briefly remember Ontario / Canadian Law specifies that all cars must have DRL lights installed.
Any other ideas?
Thanks!
the xD has a separate DRL. It's the little bulb in there with the headlight bulb. Look in the lower of your headlamp case. You'll see it.
Replacing the headlights with HID's won't affect your DRL's.
