Default Badge removal

Has anyone take off the scion logo on the front and back of the xD yet? Are they both just attached with glue?

Also does anyone have any recommendations on adhesive for putting custom badging back on?

Does it have a hole? The front badge is just too big and fugly to stay there too long.

That front badge ... they make it so something just has to be there. If you take the badge off, there's the recessed area, if you fill the gap in, there's still the dimple in the hood line.

Yeah, you pretty much have to have the scion emblems or subsitutes or something there. I took off my scion emblems and painted them. The model emblem has no holes or anything behind it though.

The emblems look really cool painted. Now I'm getting an idea to do for my own Did you do them yourself or have a bodyshop do them?

I had the guy who tinted my windows remove them with a heatgun when he debadged my xD logo. Then just used car spray paint. 4 coats of black and then 4 coats of clear. Gave it alot of time to dry, took 2 days. My camera phone doesn't do it justice. Now I'll use double sided sticky tape to reapply. Finished pics up soon.

Ok, update... They looked great for a week and then started to crack and peel. I used duplicolor car spraypaint. I took them off and dropped them off at a car paint shop and they're gonna do em for $10. I believe they use a special paint for plastic. Also, I think they sand them down first. When I get em back, I'll show you guys. I apologize for any misinformation.

good to hear the front and rear "scion" logo's are just taped on and not like the 2nd gen xb's. can't wait to get mine to take it right off and put something else.

Those wheels look surprisingly good on the xD. So do the repainted emblems. What are those wheels again? Konig..?
