Can you remove damd body kit...?
 

I have the release series 1.0 with the damd body kit. My sister hit a curb with it and mangled the front lip. Can I just remove the entire body kit without doing anything else or is it not painted underneath or something else missing that is covering it up? Doesn't look like the screw holes go into the body or anything like that.

you should be able to take it off, it is painted underneath. it should be some screws/bolts around the edges in the wheel wells and underneath with heavy duty double sided tape across near the top.

oem bodykits are secured with holes cut through the bumper to lock it in with a tab. i'm pretty sure this is the same way too. just take off the bumper and look behind to see if there are any tabs.

So you're saying that if I take it off there will be a bunch of holes in the bumper?

not necessarily, any left over holes that would be in there should only be underneath or in the wheel wells.

from what i have seen, if there are holes it is most likely just a small lip kit, like the first gen tC ground effects, if it is a full half bumper deal, all the screws are underneath and in the wheel wells and the top part is just heavy duty double sided tape.

That's good news. Hopefully get this thing off without any problems as soon as spring hits, for now I'll just use the body kit as something to absorb all the dirt and salt clumps the plows dump all over the roads here.
