What did u do when you know that you dont have projector?

Buy a different one?
Live with it?
Or
Find something will work it out?
Ex.smoking the headlights? Etc etc

If you have reflectors, the light output is going to be scattered. Just don't buy cheap ___ ebay lights that dont work.

Either A. buy REAL projectors B. Make projectors "retrofit" or C. Live with it like me ( I have a tC )

I just adjusted the lights so they are pointing below the Drivers eyes in front of me. As long as you're not reflecting off of expressway signs when you drive, you'll be fine.

yea HID's in our housings scatter pretty bad. just make sure the focus of light is angled down and youll be fine. i have your issue yet no one flashes me. i actually do them a service by lighting up all the street signs lol.

thisor, how did you angle down it?
i know some car will let you do that but some are not. my xD i think i cant do that.

and yes my gf bought me a HID but i don't wanna say to her that she bought me a bad one which is all thinks you said about it is true like lighting up all the traffic sign etc etc etc..

now im thinking to smoke my headlight so it might help the HID not to scattered
+ get me away from trouble... i have a 6000k O-NEX... idk where she get this. i just dont want to upset her

if you pop your hood and look on top of your housings, there is a white screw which you turn that adjusts the angle. just park in front of a wall or garage door and angle them appropriately.

even with all the scatter, i could make out a point where the light was kind of focused, so i used that as my benchmark. i lowered it to around bumper height for most cars, and that was that. lower it too much and you have very little light to see at night. cant please everyone lol.

HID's are brighter no matter what car you put them in...I hate the idiots who put them in their trucks down here, you can't even think when they get behind you or are coming up in front. so blind away!!!!

Default Does anyone make a projector?

Hi guys - I'm thinking of putting some HIDs in my 2009 xD but I can't find any projector kits online. I've scoped out the forums you've all been talking about and they seem to only have stuff for the tC and xB.

I don't want to just pop an HID bulb in my existing lens because of the scatter issue and, let's face it, the projector offers a way cooler look.

Any tips? Or should I just suck up and deal?

Thanks everyone!

if i remember right, the only way to get projectors for our cars is a retrofit, which involved baking the housings open. i sucked up and deal with my scatter. to each their own though.

its literally putting your headlight housings in the oven and baking them till you can crack them open. i know there's a diy somewhere for it, but yea im not willing to do it myself lol.

and no worries. we all learn sometime

oh my god..hahah yeah no way. Not doing that. Guess I'll just wait for something to come around on the market. Seems weird, no? That no one is making a housing for us?

*sigh* oh well... THANKS!

not that weird cause the xD aftermarket is just weak. sad but true. so we have to make due and go custom when we wish. gotta pay to play, and i sure have found that out modding her. completely worth it to me though.

i think its a safer bet that projectors wont be coming without a custom job. they even discontinued the fog lights for the xD.

Yeah, that's all I mean really. It's been tricky to find anything for my car :-/
I was JUST looking into fog lights too! NNOOOOO!! hahaha

I don't do anything crazy. Just want to look good cruising down the strip. I've scoped out those interior LED strips that are OEM but I dunno...
