Metallic Grey exterior mod ideas - b pillar appliqué
Hi all, I've been through countless Google searches and thread searches here (even going through 60 pages of xd photos) but I can't decide what color to get for the B pillar appliqué.
This site has a good price and color options. Problem is my car is a dark grey metallic so the original CF doesn't offer enough contrast (I think. If someone can confirm this...). So I'm considering either original CF or silver CF. http://www.carid.com/2008-scion-xd-w...em-104584.html As a "fonctional mod", I'm thinking of getting this rubber bumper protector. http://www.brandsport.com/toy-pt747-52081.html I've also though of maybe changing the bolts for the wheels, I saw someone on this forum put nice blue ones on their wheels. I've thought of chrome handles or chrome handle covers but I can't be bothered to install it, and if it chips.... I live in Canada so Winter could be an issue for chrome handles. Hopefully the B Pillar appliqué will be fine. I'm also planning on tinting with a semi reflective tint this upcoming summer, 70% front 35% back. I have some basic 5 spike rims, 17" wheels I believe. Suggestions? I just want to up the look of the car without investing too much. |

here is a photo. Very basic. Just has the rims, no tints yet. Car looks a bit darker since it was just cleaned, waxed and it was getting dark. It's a bit lighter than this in color normally. Dark metallic grey.

The regular cf should look fine, but if I were you I'd like to see what the appliques look like before buying...just bc some of them look really cheap. A real picture on a real car and not just the pic on the website that makes it look good lol.
ihatestickers.com just came out with some sweet gray scale sticker bomb looking wrap that looks pretty cool. I thought about throwing some of that on the pillars and seeing what it looks like. |
its better to go shop by shop instead of looking at web. cause sometimes there cheap but your not gonna like the outcome of your mod.
