Painting the hubcaps with plasti dip?
Hi guys wanted to know if anyone can give me a guide or has experience with using plasti dip. I watched a few videos on youtube and it looks easy to do. I just got a new 2013 xD but I don't know how to take the hubcaps off. I tried searching for a video but couldn't find one. I don't have money right now to buy rims so I thought this plasti dip would be a good alternative for now to blackout the stock caps.

I would go the safe route that pyro mentioned, but with mine, I just pulled on them and they came right off. The plastdip is awesome, I used it on my fron bumper for the "evo stache" and it's held up for over a year now, and I'm planning on dipping the whole car soon.
If you're on a budget for wheels, most xD owners will actually buy the stock 17" 6 spoke tC wheels and paint them. Same lug pattern, and I'm rocking them right now as well. You can sometimes find them on craigslist, classifieds here, or even some wheel shops have them if the owners don't take it with them

So finally update on the hubcaps I did spray them with plasti dip. Used about 2 cans for the 4 hubcaps and did 4 coats on each. I did really well on 2 of them but the other 2 turned out kinda gritty. For now it will do since I have no money for rims yet. Thanks everyone.

I went your route with the plasti dip but then I got lucky and purchased 3 TC rims for $80 bucks and the last one costed me $65, go figure. I actually have an extra one somewhere in the garage, wonder where that is.
Anyways, if you want to look up interested patterns they're all over the web, you can easily use goo gone to remove the plastidip if you get bored btw. Also I plastidipped one of my rims 1+ years ago and it's still on there.
